New year, new resolution

Time for new year resolutions again, reviewing the past year's resolution makes me realizes i actually did achieve something :))) here goes~~

1. Get a first class degree and get out of KL

DONE with flying colors~ ^^ and get out of KL immediately! lol

2. A semi-pro/better digital camera

Checked! My Canon baby S95 is doing a very good job. HAPPY :D

3. A job with GOOD pay xD

Considered a yes? It's been a very good experience and the job has been teaching me a lot. Very glad to get a very good offer from my manager, appreciate it but yea, I'm moving on!!! ^^

4. Skincare and makeup routine

Been quite good with that and still improving!

5. Long straight hair

soooo checked! xD although I'm planning to chopping off one inch before CNY, still consider long?

6. Spend more time with Family

Almost a year in Penang now, still doing quite fine :) Another 1-2 years time in Penang and I will be off again to another unknown country (hopefully). Penang is great, but 2011 helps me realizing that Penang will be my hometown but not really the place I'll be settling down~

7. A trip to overseas (exclude Sg & Thai & other nearer countries!)

Unfortunately, I just went to all the exclusion countries (Thai & Sg ONLY!!!!) O.O Couldn't make it for another year as well so it's off from this year resolution T______T

8. Keep in touch with friends

Doing this pretty great too! got to know more friends because of the job and catching up with old friends alot too! *wink*

Last but definitely NOT least, TOP PRIORITY to the max! No 9! Be lovey dovey with Dear *flying kisses*

The sixth year and still going strong! :D a few minor bumps but still doing fine.. Definitely a lot more to improve for both of us, and we'll work through this, together! ^^

Very proud of what I achieved so far (EIGHT out of the nine resolutions ticked!), and for 2012, I don't think I will be making any new resolutions (keeping the 4,5,6,8,9 of course!) because I'll be going through a completely new stage of life, will only know how my resolutions would be after stepping in of course. I have made my mind, hopefully it works out, AND IT WILL BE :DD

Moving out from a comfort zone is something big when there's so many unknowns here and there. Hopefully things wont go haywire pweaaase *begs* Really thanks for all the support and advice from family, BF and my girls <3

Wish me luck people, and I wish everyone the very best for 2012!

Been thinking what to blog~~ hmm.. will randomly update on my life so far then :)))

been settling at Penang since feb

it's been great, with good food, family & company of course~

attended my degree convo too!

always awesome to catch up with college mates to update on happenings around~

everyone's having their own plan and very glad to know that =D

i think it's almost time to consider mine too ;(

其实白羊并不算是一个智商很高的星座. 但却是个逻辑性很好的星座.很多人都说白羊很傻,有点太天真.

白羊的天真其实是它对世界,对生活的一种美好向往.但另一方面,白羊在挫败的时候,骨子里是十分阴郁的.

所以不要因为白羊天真的笑容骗了.它是一个能把笑容笑得很美的星座.但它笑的开心程度不能和内心感受有正比关系.

而说白羊傻的人,更多的时候不是在说它人很蠢,而是觉得这孩子怎么老做傻事呢.

一方面:白羊冲动的性格让它有时候做了很白痴的事,说了很白痴的话.但白羊聪明的地方也是在这里,因为它会选择适时的装傻,来避免做完傻事后的难堪~~ 同时也会让人很有亲切感.所以白羊的傻,有时候为它们赚了很多人际方面的分数.

另一方面:有些人会为了自己的立场考虑,但白羊的英雄主义,有时候会做出一些利人却损己的事.甚至会让人觉得不可思议.但白羊是心地很善良的孩子,因为它有一种信念:白羊人自己受伤的时候,就会警告自己以后不可能让别人也受到伤害.因为这种伤痛自己尝过了,也知道很不好受.那为什么还要给别人尝呢?! 就让悲剧到自己身上停止吧.

白羊是个很聪明的孩子,很多时候,是它不想变得世故.但这和它是否世故又是另一回事了.经历过成长,谁都会世故的.但白羊是不到万不得以,不会运用这种世故的眼光看人的.

所以,不要在白羊面前说些话中带刺的话,白羊可能会在你面前乐呵呵的笑,但它心里已经把你从朋友这个名号上排除了. 不过它还是不会做伤害你的事,因为变成白羊的朋友,它会为你赴汤蹈火.如果对它来说不算朋友,它的英雄主义还是继续发扬,对你拔刀相助的.

或许就是因为白羊太聪明,当它脑子开始转的时候,她会就陷入自己的死胡同里.别的人,想多了,可能会觉得好烦呀,然后就干脆不想了.

但白羊开始思考的时候,她就会往死里想,非要想清楚不可.就算偶尔休息一下,也只是暂时的.所以白羊是个心事沉重的孩子. 这也导致了它情绪的变化无常. 但很可悲的事,星座上写白羊的时候,总是强调它的"天真". 这也让所有人对白羊有一种天真单纯的印象.也就忽略了"原来白羊也有这么感性,深度思考的时候啊."

所以白羊是个不能被理解的星座,因为她的聪明,也因为它的不善于表达.

白羊不管男生还是女生,都是偏男性化的.但他们脑子里藏着的思想都需要用文绉绉的语言来表达.而用语言表达出这些话,白羊们会觉得肉麻兮兮的,而且特别娇情,说出口都变了味道了. 以至于白羊偏爱用文字表达. 至少不乐意说出口.一般说出来之前都要用很长时间来说服自己.而且还要找一些适当的词来让偏文艺性的谈话变得中性一点...

否则他们就要全身不舒服了...

最后一点,白羊是个极度没有安全感的人.正如白羊代表孩童时期一样.当一个小孩午睡醒来发现自己一个人的时候,会极度不安全感.而白羊就是这样一个孩子. 白羊需要被人守护.

表面上看,白羊是个喜欢守护别人的人. 但是他在心里一直希望他的守护可以换来同等的对待. 白羊很需要被爱.

需要时刻被人提醒:亲爱的白羊,大家都爱着你呢.

所以白羊不太喜欢谈平淡的爱情.因为有时候他们会很迷茫,是不是爱变淡了.变没了. 这时它就要陷入思考中了...

虽然也有白羊太自我伤害到别人的例子.我们就还用孩子来说明吧.就像一个小孩,他常常会做一些让别人担心的事,或是惹得爱他的人很难过. 但他终究还是在淘气完之后,安静的回到自己应该呆的地方. 他只是太淘气了一点..

而且白羊喜欢看别人心疼他的样子. 就像小孩子受伤了,就喜欢跑到妈妈那边给妈妈看一样,看着妈妈心痛的表情,白羊会很开心.甚至会觉得摔一下也值得的~~ 其实这一切,都是白羊爱别人的表现.它只想在他爱的人面前脆弱.甚至软弱一下.

所以,小孩子的教育犹为重要~~ 对白羊的照顾,更应该细致.它是个有孩子一般的心灵,却有大人一般的思想负担.

正因为他身处于矛盾之中. 它的压力,更是无形的让它迷茫和无助..

白羊是个孩子,而且是个内心深处藏满忧郁的孩子.其它星座的忧郁是一面了然的.但白羊却只能意会,不可言传.

New year resolutions

Feel like doing resolutions for 2011 :) It's gonna be the very first year stepping out of study life and be independent so I'm looking forward to it! hehe let's c how many resolutions I can think of

1. Get a first class degree and get out of KL

I've been mentioning all over and yea, still my MAIN resolution! teehee.. The final semester is super tough and I hope everyone'll be very very lucky to pass! ^^ and I'm not gonna work in KL so buhbye Setapak *smiles BROADLY*

2. A semi-pro/better digital camera

It's hard to jot down every little details in the life, and life's short! so I'll get a cam asap, with excellent soft skin mode for countless camwhore pictures :D

3. A job with GOOD pay xD

Hopefully it's not hard! :( I have almost zero experience in permanent job hunting, and i think my interview skills are weak! Nothing to impress T.T

4. Skincare and makeup routine

Really really important to get the suitable products for everything! Try to learn some makeup skills as well :) weeeeee~

5. Long straight hair

MUST not cut/curl my hair for at least a year. Cant guarantee for the dying part cuz I'm pretty sure I'll dye my hair xD hahaha I want long silky shiny smooth straight hair for 2011~

6. Spend more time with Family

Four years of missing all the occasions at home makes me emo! Always caught up with tonnes of workload and not being able to spend some leisure time with the family is not fun at all. Will try to get a job in Penang hopefully and have fun with family :)

7. A trip to overseas (exclude Sg & Thai & other nearer countries!)

Wanted to go to Taiwan!! to meet another Ting there~ ^^ I was once told that there'll be SEVEN of you scattered all around the world! pretty amazing huh.. haha It's cool to be quite bonded with a girl u've never seen before, still you can pour your feelings and she DID feel for you! AND of course all the food, shopping and everything~ xP

8. Keep in touch with friends

Keep me updated with every thing in your life kay? YES, ALL OF YOU! =) We need to keep catching up ya! =D sharing stories and gossips are fun and I really look forward for all those outings, ALL over Malaysia or overseas!

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad. :)

I've always been quite particular with eye contact with people. For me, it's like the most important communication skill ever. Hmmm, but not much holding the same opinion with me i guess. I don't think I can accept "shy" as an excuse of not looking into ones eyes. It's a sign of you respecting the one you're talking to? How're you suppose to talk with eyes browsing around other places?! But alot of people seems very good at this, which kinda pisses me off :(

"Hey.. How're you?" *smile and look into ones eyes.*

"Hey.. How're you?" *playing with hands and looking elsewhere*

Huge difference right?!

And you're definitely giving ppl bad impression when you don't look into ones eyes during important interviews/presentations/meetings.

and you're 100% giving me bad impression, slash slash slash. *shakes head*

another one, stuck between topics. It sucks during conversations, but please reply k? Don't just leave hanging there.

saw the circle? PC1 the cuttlefish is with a more ughhh patches of black and white on the body pattern right? for PC2 it's kind of like uniform body pattern

Here it goes in Journal 2

PC1 shows uniform body pattern and PC2, a more distinct body coloration.

Both journals come from the same author, one 2008 one 2009.

It's my fault for not observing the figures well, so I have to re-write the whole portion again :(

SIX freaking more journals to digest and week 7 is just around the corner (promised my supervisor to hand the final draft on week 7)

Dr Banu asked me tonnes of possible questions on my slides today. I don't know how to answer even one of them? and I need to find loads of answers for all the questions. -.- My presentation was not really good i guess, can't really explain well in a few important slides. will improve on all the things and finalize my slides asap C:

Little brother's birthday

Face problem

Being highlighted again today. I'm really cool with it you see, if u're saying I look fierce/arrogant or whatever. because that's exactly how i look if i'm not smiling. and I do not intend to smile everytime I see homo sapiens so I guess this impression is going to follow me to the end of my life. so yea, i'm really cool with it.

but ridiculous statement(s)?! I mind. because it's not true AT ALL. which will leave scars in my heart. I don't understand what comes to those people mind and blurt out those statements others. Please, don't judge me if you don't know me. And those who know me and STILL judge me wrongly, I have nothing more to say. Every close friends/bf has been constantly telling me to leave those judgement and move on, and I WILL. just please don't trust the rumors/false statement around, confront me and I'll explain them to you. it's very frustrating to know that you've tried so hard to be nice to everyone and still getting negative feedbacks. I've tried you see, and I've been trying too hard until I'm not myself anymore. become really quiet because i'm worried that every opinion i voiced out or every move I make will twisted to be another rumors.

It strikes me hard. I'll be graduating soon, real soon.

Browsing through the pictures we took during internship makes me miss each n everyone of there very much! :(

I miss the first time when we

stepped in LSC, wearing way too formal & anxiously waiting for the HR depart to open..
were extremely nervous and thought that ALL the colleagues are very fierce..
started to get along with the colleagues..
mixed along really well & laughed & joked to pass time..
stayed up late at night just to handle a special case for blood donation..
went out for lunch almost everyday after the "incident"..
had loads of inside jokes and gossips to share..
accompanied CH for wardround 4 times per day..
went the far-but-clean toilet & pantry room together..
runned to every section to kacau..

hugged all of you goodbye..

I look better in current weight, yes i do! *self-hypnotizinggggggg* Ohhhhhh, just back from blood donation campaign from milk god temple aka i forgot the SriLanka actual name -.- LOL 4 hours sweating definitely burns some fat xD oooppppssyyy i think i replenished 'em during mua lunch *wink* Penang's food is too good to resist kkkk?!

I've been hunting all the party items for the entire week and i'm half done only =/ Really hope it'll be a memorable night. What's the suggestion for the after-party? hahaha

Not much about working these few days. Just routine work, just me knowing more and more stuffs day by day and im happy (: Everything seems to run very smoothly when im in penang. Lovin' it ^^

Got to know a close friend of mine is going to join SIA to be a cabin crew and i really admire her courage to actually give up everything she's doing now & achieve her dream! =D Salute for her determination & bravery. Way to go, girl ^^

Day 27-29

I still do not get sufficient rest. Why everything has to come all at once? o.O Have been in a really bad mood for these few days so i think i shall summarize everything into a simple post.

I've been really obsessed with cleaning in the laboratory i guess xD I changed my gloves whenever i touched urine bottles, spray alcohols and wipe the benches all the time, wear masks when dealing with stool & sputum and basically spray alcohols everywhere and wipe 'em really CLEAN! really really amazed by myself, for being soooo clean LOL

First quater of the year already! so fast :( I pranked a few of my colleagues for the day.. haha all of them reacted so cute~ Fooled my mum & dear too *smirk*

Catalase positive >> Staphylococcus spp
Catalase negative >> Streptococcus spp

Blood agar allows gram pos & gram neg bacteria to grow, McConkey Agar only allows gram neg bacteria to grow.

I dealed with stool, urine, sputum, body fluid etc etc.. ughhh *puke*

Day 26

Fasting in the morning for my blood test! Maybe because of the seafood & ice cream & soya bean i had yesterday night, my blood test was.... wookay ._.

My hemoglobin level is 12.8g/dL, which is perfectly OKAY to donate blood~ but sighh my blood pressure is too low. I've been monitoring my pressure for a month and it's pretty low :( I WANT TO DONATE BLOOD! =)

Everything is good except for glucose and cholesterol on the higher range for my age!! *screamssssss* My total protein level even exceeds the rangeeee! ughhh i should stop eating peanuts and all the beans products. Will do another blood test before my intern ends which i do not hope to be coming so fast =/

Just so happened to bump into something that im not supposed to be seen/known. Not a good day afterall.

Day 25

Feel really really tired after the LONG weekend. ughh 7 days working in a row doesn't work for me. Need rest! I'm basically yawning throughout the day.

Fyi, im working as a promoter in Giant Hypermarket Bayan Baru for last weekend. Not much customers and quite boring. Known some promoters there and they've been pretty nice =)

Have a great dinner with my aunt & uncle. Fish porridge steamboat with outside drizzling is awesome; baskin robin after that makes the day perfect! :D

After 34567890863 times of resizing, finally photos are up! =.= I did inai in the lab today~ hehe.. happy happy~ Kanapati (not sure whether his name is correctly spelled) did inai for me & rou. He's really good in drawing inai, he done each in around 5 minutes time! Awesome lahhh! loves loves lovesss.. I just HAVE to show all of you how beautiful the designs are..

On my left hand, the process is basically like drawing icing on a cake xP He has talent on drawing la.. so patient & creative~
The color after the dye fades in 30 minutes. I prefer it in darker color, looks more striking and the design can be seen clearly. =)

An old lady passed away this morning due to septicemia. It's too late when the blood culture shows positive, sighhh :(

A HIV + Syphilis (Sexual-transmitted disease laiii) REACTIVE patient's urine sample is sent down without a thunder cap which indicates reactive sample! The colleague in charge of the urine section totally got shocked when she knew it halfway handling the sample; got very very very paranoid afterwards. She wore two layers of gloves and two layers of face masks when handling the sample, changing gloves every time she touched something close to the sample. She makes me feel scared while helping her to disinfect the section and the strips! xP Fyi, the unit which sent down the sample straight kena NCR aka non-compliance report immediately for that. o.O

Something quite ridiculous happened today ;D I was in bacti section and they're busy screening for a SPECIAL case. A 60+ lady's sputum contains a type of bacteria (i forgot the name dy! omg) that only can be found in male's private part. Ahem 60+!!! >.<

There's also once where a 70+ lady's urine ada spermatozoa~ Nothing impossible nowadays huh o.O

Day 21

I attended a talk today about Nestle HealthCare Nutrition Products. The nutrition executive from Nestle shared some benefits of the newly launched products to some staff nurses and trainees. I learned loads of facts in the 1-hour talk regarding on the whey protein, fibers and some other high nutritional value ingredients (: Besides, I got a goodie bag with a banana raisin muffin & 2 samples nutren optimum.. hehe

Oh oh, there's also one weird case in the hospital today. One patient who did leg operation is found out to be anemic, then do transfusion lor, but he shivers and suffers from minor chest pain. It is the first time i encountered transfusion reaction. After that, his son donated blood and it is transfused into the patient, but still not working! Two transfusion reactions in one day?! Crossmatching and direct coombs tests all show compatible but reactions still... THIS IS SOOO WEIRD o.O

Im almost done with the urine section because there's only few tests, will be going to microbiology section to learn smtg new xP loves learning new things~

Day 20

My first day in Urine Section! Not bad, exclude the smelly urine AND mircoscope. Ishh observing slides under microscope really just not my thing! I'll get dizzy whenever I observe ONE slide under microscope. Any ways to prevent that? >.<

It's very subjective in this section, where you have to observe & make conclusions by your own about the color/condition of the urine. Urine has alot of colors, eg. light yellow, yellow, amble, brick red etc etc with different kinds of conditions, eg. hazy, cloudy, clear etc etc! And all of those you just have to observe it with ur naked eyes.

For slides, it's even worse! you have to search for the components that should not be present in the urine eg RBC, WBC, bacteria etc etc. However, it'll be some epithelium squamous (skin cells) that'll interfere your slide. It becomes harder to determine and find. In a nutshell, you need experience to be in here~

Really confused with all the things in the slides and i need time! :D 9 more days there and hopefully i can learn asap =)

Almost one month doing my intern already, and im having loads of fun! (: I feel so hang fuk staying in home sweet home except the routine quarrel with bro sighh. My indian colleague taught me Tamil & I taught her Hokkien! omg that was hilarious.. we laughed non-stop for the improper pronounciation and everything..

Ama in Tamil means yes, u have to add "ge" in Tamil when u talk to elder ppl.. so summarizes become ama bo ge means grandmother doesn't have teeth in Hokkien!!! LOL just one small joke to share.. ;P

Got really sick yesterday night, Moli spread the flu virus to me! =( My whole body aches throughtout the day.. sighhh my mum said it was balasan from yesterday! ishh

Day 13

Alrighty, i failed terribly today!! omg omg im sooo guilty~

I poked my mum's colleague once to check whether it's eligible to donate or not, tapi black green and bengkak because i did not hold the syringe frimly and it moved. A little fact to share, once the syringe moved, even a tiny bit, there'll be NO blood coming out from the vein. So the staff nurse cucuk again for the second time >.<

After that, i cucuk the BIG needle for blood donation also tak boleh! He doesn't have a main vein, so i have to poke his side vein (more difficult k?!). When i poke, the blood spurts out, i got nervous and take out the needle which is TOTALLY WRONG to do so. So, another bengkak + black green. I made both of his hands swelled, super guilty and apologize apologize apologize for that! zzz Mum treat him something that evening for doing me a favour and i still don't feel good. :( soweeeeeeeeeee *innocent eyes*

Continuously did several xmatch, very free after that. Colleagues started to discuss abt relationship topics xD And all of us girls got so excited cakap nonstop, got several conclusions after the fun chatting moments ;P
ps: It's solely MY OWN conclusion, ignore 'em if u dont think so.

1. Girls easily get furious over minor stuffs & they let their emotion to control ;P
2. It is almost impossible to upgrade a best male friend to boyfriend.
3. It is good to be attached before you start working.

Some may hold diff opinions, but surprisingly all girls in the lab agreed with conclusion #2. When i was having this type of conversion with other girls, some said firmly that it's what makes the relationship stronger.

One colleague of mine got attached after knowing a guy for 1 day, their relationship lasted SIX years until now! I believe in love at first sight, the sparks are undeniable (:

Loads of donors came today, good day!^^ Did xmatch as usual and successfully rmb all the volume of reagents/rbc concentrate/serum required. Awesomeee ;P Looking forward for tmr because i can observe allergic tests & draw blood from someone else! muahahahahhaa

Before finishing work, my female colleague allowed me to draw her blood! omg i was terrified for 5 minutes, but insisted to do it. It's a great opportunity for me to learn and im glad i took the challenge. Was really really really worried that i may hurt her. Did the procedures with her guiding me and it goes smoothly i guess. Will check for any bruises from her arm tmr. Tsk tskkk :D

Fyi, im planning for my birthday celebration! It's on 17th of April, and for those buddies in Penang pls make urself free kay? Will confirm with you guys later on for preparation of food. I did all the cross-matching for the day! (: Got several grumbles from the staff nurse but whatevarrrrrr~ Im getting good with it.. Lemme explain what's xmatch. It's a necessary procedure to be done before transfusion to ensure that the antigen on the rbc does not react with the incoming transfused blood. Extremely important & there's no room for ANY mistakes! *touchwood*

Was quite boring, less donors today. Received good news after work; mum's colleague will go LSC to donate blood on this coming thurs & im drawing his blood~ yuhuuuuuuuuuuu excited!

Really nervous when im observing nurse/lab tech drawing blood, feeling a little nausea when i saw the tube/bag filled with blood. o.O Surprisingly im fine today and i can look directly to the tube/bag without feeling dizzy xD *applause*

Encountered crossmatching, blood grouping, filling up forms & book for donors, separate packed cells & platlet and store 'em properly today. Basically it's almost all for BB.Glad that i've learnt new things again (:

Normal routine lab job, then we went to our lab manager to discuss about our current situation, FYP and future plans. We chatted, exchanged our minds and maybe it's a bit clearer now? Not blaming anything and i understand the pressure exerted by many sides, just trying to be positive will help ;P

Both of us scored well in this semester =) My study buddies all did really good job, exclude someone who unwilling to tell me how's her result so im not really sure xD You know who you are my girl~ lol big applause to everyone and 2 more long sems to go for CB students, 1 short sem + 1 long sem to go for MD students!!

I can get it for manual tests, but machines? come on, we're there for internship but not observational training. It's an opportunity for us to train our practical skills. Does observing help on practical skills? Definitely not much compared to doing the tests by our own.

Day 5

Great day! (: Busy working for the whole day & time fliesss~ Able to help them to lighten their burden on monday makes me feel a sense of success =D *wink* Handled whole stacks of blood test blue forms from dialysis patients, preparation of HbA1c reagent for glucose tests, perform some manual tests by myself, centrifuging the samples, saw Chigungunya IgM & ANA manual tests and performed once with guidance, know how to differentiate the samples to Axsym or Architet machines makes me feel soooo like a lab tech ;P Looking forward for section switching next week! FYI~ I'll be drawing Rou's blood & she's going to draw my blood very soon. Will update to u guys whether i fainted or not LOL Hope i can conquer my fear, i ada confident!!!!!

I'll be soooo not concentrate during work tmr =(

Day 4 in LSC

Today is buzier and happier =D Mr Loh & Mr Goh went training for the whole day so nobody's observing the lab techs working. All of them seems more relaxed and i joined in for some conversation too! ^^ Start to get to know more with some of them and will try to know all of them asap. hahahah

Learnt another manual test, Troponin T. It's to detect cardiac diseases and the test is quite simple. All depends on machine basically, just add in the sample, follow the instructions with a few clicks and done (: and also done one neonatal bilirubin test too! I've encountered almost all manual tests except chingunnya IgM dont blame me for spelling mistakes, having bad memory nowadays.

My job now is basically spin the sample in the centrifuge, take it out, put into respective machines/perform manual tests and collect the results to clip with the patient's details. Did lesser mistakes =D

Canteen is giving out free bobo chacha for all the workers in the hospital, I had one too! Two of the lab techs laosai-ed after lunch hour and luckily im safe. Phew~ ;P

Basically that's what im doing everyday and started to enjoy it ^^ Still have phobia over study so prefer intern now hahaha =) fyi, i know how to walk to the toilets already!!!! *claps* fuyoh im clever~ LOL

Day 3

did TWO mistakes today! grrrrrr not gonna mention what's that but super paise! It's even more embarassing and guilty when people do not put the blame on you/scold you.. haihz im so sorry for being such a coward~ T_____T Anyway, big thanks to Ai Lien & Mr Goh =)

Got to chat with a little bit more people around! big improvement xD but still, dare not to join in their conversation too much. And and.... Ming Choo said im shy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg it's like the first or second time ppl saying me that when they first know me ;P Other than that, the first impression is always fierce fierce fierce o.O

Not much for today, just repeating yesterday's procedures and make more mistakes =/ Got to know one more manual test, but sudah forgot =.= oh and the clotting factor test APT and APTT i think ahahahhaha tarak guna la me =(

one more day to long weekend! yuhuuuuuuuuu~

i need to start doing my FYP during the long weekend instead on keep wandering around the net/play games/fb/blogging *knock knock*

Day 2 (23/2)

Reach at 9.00am sharp in the lab with the guidance from rou. yupp, i dont even know how to go to the toilet after renovation started in the old wing. will try to rmb it tmr HAHA.

hmmph time passes faster for today as i have something to do =) Phaik Tin is back from her leave. She's the one in charge for the section im in for this month i guess. Briefed me about the machines and tests again to refresh my memory and she allowed me to do Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT)! Actually it's just mixing the serum of the patient with HbA1c the reagent if im not mistaken with the reagent, it means alot to me! It's my first try to get involved and actually contributing to the lab xD The feeling of accomplishment is awesomee~ Started to collect the tubes after the tests, group the patient's results and doing some basic not-so-important things. Still, it makes me feel much more happier as i have the chance to help and do not cause any trouble yet to them LOL

Tried to give all of the lab technologists a helping hand whenever they're busy for the whole day. Done some paper work, seached twice or 3 times? for the lab phone, listened to the discussion about methods to detect tuberculosis (TB) & prepared one whole rack of HbAc1! hahahahah and was super kin cheong when Mr Loh stopped by to see me pipetting =.= luckily it does not have any bubbles/spaces~ phewwww

ohhhhh and we're allowed to wear long jeans with tee to work! great, no more wasting money for formal wears. broke broke brokeeeee!

Will try to talk to more people tmr, must not be coward d me!!! ;P

Day 1 (22/2)

Rou & I reached half an hour earlier to the hospital, waited for the HR leng lui to register us. Gave us a name tag & card for food discount, guided by another experienced trainee to the main laboratory =)

Am super nervous and sweating like hell when I first reached. Everyone seemed to be busy and professional! Got into the lab manager, Mr Loh's room for a brief introduction and explanation session, left us a laboratory guidelines to read and he rushed back to the lab. According to other lab technologists, monday is usually pretty busy as lesser people worked during weekends. While reading the guidelines, we were like ooppsssy this wrong that wrong! Turn out we have totally wrong perception on the working environment, tsk tskkk. No makeup, preferable no contact lenses, long pants, closed-toe shoes and yada yada all the laboratory rules. omg so strict! T__T

Mr Loh came in afterwards, explained a little bit more about the laboratory procedures. Put on lab coats and we're allowed to move around the lab with proper attire. There are 5 sections (if im not mistaken) in the lab and we'll be in each section for two weeks. Im in the Chemistry and Sero-immunology section while Rou's in Blood Bank. Sounds proooo, likeyyy =D Everyone was pretty busy so i dare not to interrupt them, just standing beside to observe the way they conduct the tests. The lab technologist in the section today is Chai Hoon who looks 70% like Kee May!! xD Later on, Mr Loh gave me a whole stack of "notes" about the two BIG machines in the section. Browsed through 5 mins, blanked 5 mins and it went on for 2 hours? lol yawned for dunno how many time -.-

Finally I took up the courage to talk to CH and she explained about the two machines and the routine work in the section. Demonstrated dengue test since there's a test order for that =) alot more explanations on the reagents used for the machines, purposes for the test, hw to put the tube in the machines etc etc.

Day 1 is just waiting for the clock strikes 530pm and yeshhhhh bye bye! xD
